Sustainability Report

The report presents Sime Darby Plantation's FY2023 sustainability performance across climate action, biodiversity, social performance, supply-chain resilience, and operational efficiency. A major milestone was the validation of the Group's net-zero targets by the Science Based Targets initiative. The Group reported 28,978,121 GJ of energy consumption, with 88% from renewable sources, alongside 23,649,124 m3 of water consumption and 182,810 tonnes of waste generated. The report also discloses five fatalities involving workers and a third-party contractor and describes corrective actions and strengthened safety governance.
