Overview

The report presents Shell's 2023 performance against its Powering Progress strategy. It reports 57 million tonnes CO2e of combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions, a 31% reduction from 2016, and confirms a 2050 net-zero target covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3. Shell also reports 103,000 employees at year-end and 42% women on its Board. It voluntarily reports EU Taxonomy eligibility and alignment, including $542 million of aligned turnover.
