Integrated Annual Report

The report presents Shoprite's FY2020 performance during a year heavily shaped by COVID-19, with revenue of R156.9 billion and 141,452 employees. It reports Scope 1 emissions of 583,000 tCO2e, Scope 2 emissions of 1,986,711 tCO2e and 3,298 MWh of renewable electricity generated. The Group also implemented a substantial COVID-19 response, including health and safety measures, mobile clinics, protective equipment and a R327.2 million net response spend.
