Overview

The report describes 2019 as a year of operational recovery and strategic expansion, including completion and integration of Lonmin's Marikana assets and revenue of R72,925.4 million. Group workforce was 84,521 people including contractors; safety improved overall, although six fatalities occurred at SA PGM operations. Environmental reporting covers Group Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, energy and water, with a 27.3% Group carbon-reduction target by 2025. PwC provided limited assurance on selected sustainability indicators.
