Sustainable Developmental Activities

Overview

The report describes SCCL's 2022-23 environmental and sustainable-development activities across reclamation, mine-water use, overburden utilisation, renewable energy and efficiency. It reports 224 MW of solar capacity established through 2022-23, within a broader 300 MW solar programme. SCCL also describes a 20 Ha eco-park developed at GauthamKhani Opencast Project with expenditure of Rs.4.76 Crores. Mine discharge water is used for operational, domestic, agricultural and community purposes.
