Sustainability Report

Overview

The report presents SINTEF's 2021 sustainability work across a strategy committed to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with particularly strong contributions to eight goals. It provides the group's first comprehensive GHG inventory, covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and upstream Scope 3 emissions under the GHG Protocol. SINTEF also launched a Global Climate Fund backed by NOK 21 million over three years to support climate-positive research, while strengthening biodiversity as a group-wide priority. At year-end, the organisation employed 2,146 people, including 2,012 FTEs.
