Overview

The report presents a 2019 integrated account of Standard Bank Group's strategy, governance and performance. It reports 50 691 group permanent employees and 37% women on the board, ahead of the 33% by 2021 target. The group also established Africa's first dedicated sustainable finance team and concluded ESG-linked funding and green-bond transactions. Its SEE impact programme covers financial inclusion, job creation, infrastructure, trade and investment, climate change and sustainable finance, education and health.
