Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents STMicroelectronics' 2003 group-wide sustainable-development performance across economic, social and environmental topics. It adds a GRI Content Index and reports 1.65 million tonnes of CO~2~ emissions, alongside detailed energy, water, waste and workforce data. The report highlights the carbon-neutrality roadmap, including a 2010 CO2-neutral target, and reports that 24,000 tonnes of 33,000 tonnes of waste were reused or recycled. PricewaterhouseCoopers verified selected environmental and social KPIs and the related reporting processes.
