Overview

The report describes Swiss Re's 2024 progress toward its net-zero transition and societal resilience ambitions. The company published its first Climate Transition Plan, strengthened sustainability governance through the Group Sustainability Committee and met all externally communicated sustainability targets for 2024. Operational emissions in scope for carbon-certificate compensation were around 29 000 tonnes CO2e, with carbon removal certificates representing 43% of the mix. Swiss Re also expanded renewable-energy re/insurance, covering 21 902 renewable power plants during the year.
