Overview

The report describes Takeda's fiscal 2016 sustainability activities across access to healthcare, supplier management, human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. The company reported 29,900 consolidated FTE employees and Group-wide CO2 emissions of 367 kilotons, representing a 25% reduction from fiscal 2005. It set a further 30% Group CO2 reduction target from fiscal 2015 by fiscal 2030, while expanding renewable-energy and environmental-management initiatives. KPMG AZSA Sustainability Co., Ltd. provided limited assurance over marked environmental and social indicators.
