Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report

The report covers Tata Steel and 13 key subsidiaries for FY2022-23 and records a group net-zero emissions target for 2045. The company reports total energy consumption of 857 Peta Joule and Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions of 75.5, 5.2, and 13.1 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, respectively. It also conducted a materiality assessment for Tata Steel as a whole and reports that community programmes reached over 3.15 million lives during the year.
