Environmental Report

Overview

The report describes the company-wide environmental protection structure led by the president, including the Corporate Environmental Protection Council and Safety and Environment Office. For fiscal 1999, it reports 53,000 t of waste volume and 25,000 t of resources recycled for TDK parent and domestic subsidiaries' product and development bases. It also reports ISO 14001 certification for all domestic production and R&D bases by April 2000, while 12 of 19 overseas production bases had obtained certification.
