Sustainability Stocktake Report

Overview

The report stocktakes sustainability practices across Te Pūkenga's 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics, excluding the Work Based Learning subsidiary and Transitional Industry Training Organisations. It finds varied sustainability strategies and policies, limited dedicated resourcing, and inconsistent reporting across the network. Four subsidiaries fully calculate their carbon footprint and four conduct partial calculations. The report also records over 54 million KWh of electricity and over 14 million KWh of gas used in 2020, alongside a 635-vehicle ITP fleet.
