Overview

The report introduces Tesco's Core Purpose, "we make what matters better, together," and frames three ambitions: youth opportunities, healthier lives and reducing food waste. For 2012/13, it reports a gross GHG footprint of 5.75 million tonnes CO2e, broken into Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and reviewed by ERM. It also reports £78.1 million donated to charities, equal to 4% of pre-tax profits, and 9.5 million people helped to get active.
