Overview

The report presents Tokyo Gas Group's CSR management around safety and disaster prevention, environmental initiatives, and stakeholder partnerships. It describes replacement of about 180,000 unsafe devices after about ¥5.5 billion investment and the SUPREME earthquake-monitoring system, which covered approximately 4,000 locations and expanded blocks from 101 to 136 in fiscal 2009. The Group also describes customer-site CO2 reduction goals of 3 million tons by fiscal 2016 and 4.5 million tons by fiscal 2021.
