The report covers fiscal 2008, ended March 31, 2009, when UBE Group net sales declined amid the global recession. It highlights the establishment of the Group CSR Committee as a high-authority decision-making body. UBE also set a 12% CO2 reduction target for fiscal 2010 against fiscal 1990 and reports recycling 3.25 million tons of waste materials and by-products annually at its cement factories.
