CSR Report

Overview

The report is UNFI's first CSR report and highlights a company-wide sustainability program spanning renewable energy, energy conservation, emissions, water and waste. It reports 3% of energy from renewable resources and 2009 greenhouse-gas emissions of 133,252 MT CO2e, including Scope 1 and Scope 2 totals. UNFI also describes solar installations, LEED-certified facilities, a new Providence headquarters, and community giving totaling $600,000 plus $6.5 million in wholesale food donations.
