Overview

The report presents UPS's 2008 sustainability performance across its global business, including its first enterprise-wide inventory covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. It describes the formalization of sustainability governance through a senior-management Steering Committee responsible for strategy, goals and KPIs. The report also highlights a new airline emissions-reduction goal, extensive efficiency and conservation initiatives, and a global workforce of 425,900 employees. Women represented 18% of the Board of Directors.
