Overview

The report describes UHS's 2022 global workforce of 94,000 employees and its environmental, social and governance initiatives across U.S. and U.K. operations. It highlights energy-efficiency investments, ENERGY STAR and green-building progress, waste diversion and water-management programs. ESG reporting is provided to the entire Board, while workforce and community sections cover employee engagement, diversity, training, charitable care and healthcare equity. The Board had eight members, including three women, at the end of the disclosed 2022 governance update.
