Overview

The report describes the University's 2012 sustainability achievements across nine areas, including green building, clean energy, climate protection, waste, food, and water systems. By the end of 2012, the University had 119 LEED-certified projects, while renewable-energy capacity reached 9.1 MW of PV installed or in construction. The report also states that UC uses approximately 4.9 billion gallons of potable water per year and that campuses and medical centers continue working toward system-wide climate and waste-reduction goals.
