Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes the University's 2021 progress against the Sustainability Plan 2017-2020, including carbon neutrality by 2025 and climate-positive status by 2030. It records achievement of zero net emissions from electricity, while net carbon emissions were 37,512 tCO2-e. Operational data show 660,000 GJ of energy, 250 ML of municipal water usage and 900 tonnes of waste to landfill in 2021. It also highlights Melbourne Climate Futures, the first 18-student Wattle Fellowship cohort, and food-support programs delivering 4,523 Fresh Boxes and 27,319 food packs.
