Sustainability Report

Overview

The report covers FY2008 (April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009) across all USHIO business sites and group companies worldwide. It reports 24,012 t-CO2 of atmospheric emissions, 1,213 t of waste volume, and 380,940 m3 of water input in the consolidated environmental balance. The Environment Committee and Group Environmental Council, both chaired by the president, are identified as the top environmental decision-making bodies. It also records ISO 14001 certifications obtained by Ushio Hong Kong and Ushio Shanghai in FY2008.
