Overview

The report presents Vale's 2015 sustainability performance, including comprehensive GRI G4 reporting, a 166,300-person workforce and five work-related fatal accidents. It reports 14.3 million tCO2e of Scope 1 emissions, 1.9 million tCO2e of Scope 2 emissions and a 25% renewable share in the energy matrix. It also describes biodiversity risk assessment across 33 operational units and major water, waste and conservation initiatives.
