Sustainability Related Financial Information

The report presents Vale’s 2025 sustainability-related financial disclosures under IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and CBPS. It reports gross emissions of 7.97 million metric tons of CO2e for Scope 1, 0.72 for location-based Scope 2, 0.32 for market-based Scope 2, and 487.09 for Scope 3; it also says previously reported Scope 3 figures were restated after methodological refinements. Vale reports that all 50 tailings storage facilities had implemented GISTM by August 2025 and that it ended the year with no structures at Emergency Level 3. It also reports 26.3 million tonnes of iron ore from circular sources, about 8% of total annual production.
