Overview

The report describes Valero's 2015 social responsibility performance through record-low refinery safety rates, including a combined employee-contractor TRIR of 0.38. It highlights recycling 8,382 dry tons of material, reductions in flaring and other emissions, and continued renewable-fuel and conservation efforts. Community investment was also substantial, with more than $40 million generated for charities and more than 135,000 employee volunteer hours recorded companywide.
