Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents Vedanta's 2010-11 sustainability performance across environmental stewardship, people, health and safety, and communities. It reports 232.71 million gigajoules of direct energy, Group Scope 1 emissions of 31,675,465 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, and a workforce of 73,364. Community programmes reached 2.7 million people, while DNV provided assurance over the report.
