Overview

The report describes Vedanta's 2013-14 sustainability performance across its global resources businesses, including a 2.1% renewable-energy share and quantified Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. It reports 19 work-related fatalities, Group water consumption of 238,258,073 m3, and approximately 7.76 million tonnes of waste generated. The report also details its materiality process, community and human-rights programmes, and sustainability oversight by the Board and Sustainability Committee. DNV GL independently assured the report against GRI G3.1 and the VeriSustain protocol.
