Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents Vedanta's FY2014-15 group sustainability performance across responsible stewardship, stakeholder relationships and shared value, prepared under GRI G4 Core and mapped to UNGC and MDGs. It reports US$12,878.7m revenue, 82,534 direct and indirect employees, 363 million GJ of energy consumption and 2% renewable energy. Environmental disclosures include 38,274,754 tonnes of Scope 1 emissions, 1,581,703 tonnes of Scope 2 emissions, 10.91 million MT of waste and zero category 4 or 5 incidents. DNV GL independently provided moderate assurance over the report's sustainability information.
