Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents Vedanta's FY 2016-17 sustainability performance across its global natural-resources operations. Group-wide disclosures include 51,896,907 tons of CO2 equivalent of Scope 1 emissions, 428 million GJ of total energy, 3.93 million m3 of water savings, and seven fatalities. It reports US$11.5 billion in revenue, 25,035 full-time direct employees, and US$17.63 million of CSR investment. KPMG provided limited assurance over selected sustainability disclosures under ISAE 3000.
