Overview

The report presents the company's first voluntary consolidated sustainability statement under ESRS and EU Taxonomy, covering material ESG impacts, risks and opportunities. Operational gross Scope 1 emissions fell to 1,138 t CO2e, while total indirect Scope 3 emissions were 4,735,461 t CO2e, primarily financed emissions. The company reported 3,800 employees, 47.4 average training hours per employee and 44.0% women on VBW's Supervisory Board. It also set decarbonisation targets for its own operations and financed portfolio, including a 2050 carbon-neutral portfolio ambition.
