The report presents Wärtsilä's 2019 sustainability performance within a full annual report, with a Sustainability section covering management, people, environment, safety, compliance, materiality and assurance. It reports group Scope 1, location-based Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, alongside energy, water and waste data. The company reports one work-related fatality, a 2.25 lost-time injury frequency, 94% Code of Conduct training coverage and 17% female workforce representation. Sustainability reporting follows the GRI Standards Comprehensive option and is independently assured by DNV GL.
