Overview

The report presents Wesfarmers' first aggregation of group-wide environmental, community and social impacts. It records 28,317 employees, 2,230,943 tonnes of direct and indirect greenhouse-gas emissions, and estimated group energy use of 14,473,195 gigajoules. Environmental initiatives included a more than 70 per cent reduction in Bunnings plastic-bag use and group water consumption of 10,483 megalitres, with important data limitations noted. SMEC independently verified the report's data and content.
