Annual Report and Accounts

The report describes WHSmith's recovery to £1,400m of Group revenue in 2022 after the pandemic. It sets out a net-zero emissions commitment for 2050 and a near-term target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 80% from a 2020 base year by 2030. The report also quantifies Scope 3 emissions at 292,000 tonnes CO2e and identifies purchased goods, upstream transport and end-of-life treatment as major contributors. Sustainability oversight is led through the Board and its ESG Committee.
