Sustainability Annual Report

Overview

The report highlights Harper College's 2016-2017 sustainability work across energy efficiency, waste reduction, climate action, and engagement. Building D was completed to LEED Silver standards, while the ReUseIt Room reused 4,305 items and diverted 1,400 lbs. of material from landfill. Harper also reports a 5.55% net greenhouse-gas reduction since 2015, ten tons of scrap metal recycled, and student, faculty, employee, and community participation in sustainability programs.
