Overview

The report covers the Group's 2019 environmental, social and governance performance and describes Board-led ESG oversight. It reports gross greenhouse gas emissions of 20,162.93 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent and gross comprehensive energy consumption of 4,721.11 tonnes of standard coal equivalent. The Group had 7,728 employees, recorded no employee deaths due to work, and delivered more than 120 training sessions totaling 180,000 hours. Its social responsibility activities included collecting 3,832.29 tonnes of used books for recycling and donating RMB41.26 million.
